Scholarship Essay Guidelines for Student Athletes

Eligibility

Applicants must be currently enrolled as student athletes in high school.

The scholarship is open to student athletes of all sports and disciplines.
Essay Topic:

The essay topic is "The Intersection of Sports and Academics: My Journey as a Student Athlete."

Essays should explore the challenges, triumphs, and lessons learned as a student athlete striving for excellence both in sports and academics.
Word Count and Format:

Essays must be a minimum of 500 words and should not exceed 600 words.

The essay must be typed and formatted with 12-point font, double-spaced, and with standard margins.

Include your name, contact information, and school at the top of the first page.
Originality and Plagiarism:

Essays must be original and written solely by the applicant.

Any sources or references used must be properly cited.

Plagiarism will result in disqualification from the scholarship program.

Evaluation Criteria

Essays will be evaluated based on creativity, clarity, originality, coherence, and relevance to the essay topic.

Judges will assess the applicant's ability to articulate their experiences and insights as a student athlete.

Academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and community involvement may also be considered.
Selection Process

A panel of judges will review all submitted essays.

Finalists may be contacted for an interview or additional information.
